On Friday , December 29, 2023, the South African government requested the International Court of Justice (ICJ)make an urgent order declaring Israel in breach of its obligations under the 1948 Genocide Convention. This important effort to curtail the apartheid state’s horrors in Gaza must be supported.

To preempt any Canadian sabotage efforts, the NDP should express its support for South Africa’s request.
