Zakaria Odeh the exec director from the Civic Coalition for Palestinian Rights In Jerusalem sent the following message:
I am writing to you from Geneva , during my visit to participate in the United Nations human right council.
I participated in the main session under item 7 where the report of the special rapporteur to the occupied territories was presented.
I participated in the discussion about the human right situation in Jerusalem.
As well I participated in a side event about Palestinian prisoners. Also, another side event about children under occupation.
I chaired a side event about shrinking space for Palestinian civil society organizations and human right defenders.
I also participated in a side event that included open dialogue with the special rapporteur.
I will be visiting Brussels to participate in a meetings with the EU, and with the Belgians NGOs network. Also meeting some members of the European parliament.
I will then travel after that to France where I have a meeting with the municipality of Lyon about Israeli urban planning policy.
Thanks to those who help to provide financial support for attendance at the 53rd Session of Human Rights Council of the UN, allowing the voice of those in East Jerusalem to be heard.
