For the past two years, we’ve been fighting the Canada-to-Israel Charity Pipeline with annual actions across so-called Canada. Our work builds on Defund Racism, “a Palestinian-led movement to end the use of ‘charitable’ funds raised in the [so-called] United States to carry out the mission of Israeli settler organizations.”
In 2024, our first year, communities around the country showed up at Canada Revenue Agency (CRA) offices for the International Day of Charity on September 5 to demand an end to taxpayer-funded support for genocide. In 2025, that single day grew into a full week of action. This year, we’re escalating further!
Over two weeks, from August 31 to September 12, our communities will directly confront complicit organizations, demanding they stop using charitable donations to fund genocide, apartheid, and the illegal occupation of Palestine.
